Privacy Policy
Who we are
Reverse Video Search Tool is built and run by a small independent team, and we are responsible for the personal data described here. For anything about your privacy, email support@reversevideosearchtool.com.
This policy explains what we collect when you use reversevideosearchtool.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Last updated: November 5, 2026.
What we collect
Information you give us:
- Account details: your name, email address and profile picture from Google when you sign in. We never see your Google password.
- Uploads: the clip, screenshot or link you search with.
- Billing records: your plan or pack, amounts, dates and payment status. Your card details go to our payment processor, not to us.
- Messages: emails you send to support.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and connection: IP address, browser, operating system, device type and time zone.
- Usage: pages you visit, features you use and the steps of a search, recorded by our own analytics. We never record file names or the contents of your uploads.
- Searches: results of searches you run while signed in, saved to your search history.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- run searches and show your results and history, because you asked us to;
- take payments and manage your plan, to fulfil our agreement with you;
- prevent fraud and answer payment disputes, using your order and usage records, because we have a legitimate interest in being paid for searches we provided;
- answer support requests;
- send service messages such as receipts, security alerts and policy changes;
- prevent abuse, fraud and automated misuse;
- understand how the site is used so we can improve it;
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not send marketing emails. If we ever want to, we will ask you first.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Essential cookies keep you signed in and keep the site secure. The site does not work without them.
- Analytics cookies from our own first-party analytics count visits and sessions. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We also use Cloudflare Turnstile security checks to tell people from bots.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
Your uploads
Your upload is deleted after each search. We send parts of it to trusted image recognition and search providers only to produce your results, and they may not use it for anything else. We do not use your uploads to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, including “selling” as defined by laws such as the CCPA. We share it only:
- with service providers who help us run the site: hosting (Cloudflare and our own servers), sign-in (Google), security checks (Cloudflare Turnstile), payments (Waffo Pancake) and the image recognition and search providers that produce results. Each receives only what it needs. Card details are handled entirely by Waffo Pancake, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor, and never touch our servers;
- when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order;
- if the business changes hands, in which case we will tell you first and your information stays protected under this policy;
- with your permission, for anything else.
How we protect it
All traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to our systems is limited to what each person or service needs. If a security incident affects your personal data, we will tell you and the relevant authorities within 72 hours of finding out, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Uploads: deleted after each search.
- Account details: kept while your account is open, and deleted when you ask us to delete your account.
- Search reports: kept for 30 days on a free account and for one year on a paid plan. On a paid plan you can keep a report as evidence for three years, which matches the time limit for most US copyright claims under 17 U.S.C. § 507(b). You can delete a report yourself at any time.
- Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Support emails: kept as long as we need them to help you.
- Security logs: kept for a short time to prevent abuse, then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data;
- limit or object to how we use it;
- send it to you in a machine-readable format;
- withdraw any consent you gave us.
Email support@reversevideosearchtool.com from your account email. We reply within 30 days. If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
According to California’s Attorney General, California residents may ask businesses to disclose what personal information they have about them, and to delete it. In the EU, Article 17 of the GDPR gives people the right to have their personal data erased.
International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. When we transfer data across borders, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
The site is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email support@reversevideosearchtool.com and we will delete it.
Other sites
Search results link to videos and pages on other sites. This policy covers only the data we collect. Other sites have their own privacy policies, so please check them before you share anything there.
Changes to this policy
If we make an important change, we will email you at least 15 days before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the updated policy.
